Setting up your first autoresponder on Scalelup is the key to turning new leads into engaged subscribers and future customers - automatically. This guide will walk you step by step through the process of creating your autoresponder, crafting your first messages, and connecting everything to your mailing list.

Step 1: Access the Autoresponder Feature

  1. Go to the main menu and select "Landing Pages". This will take you to the Marketing Tools section.

  2. Click "Manage Autoresponders". Here you will see an overview of all your existing autoresponders, if you have any.

Step 2: Create a New Autoresponder

  1. Click "Create Autoresponder". A dialog box will appear.

  2. Enter a name for your autoresponder. This name is for your reference only and is not visible to your subscribers.

  3. After naming your autoresponder, confirm to add it to your list.

Step 3: Add Email Messages to Your Sequence

  1. Click the "Open" button next to your newly created autoresponder.

  2. Click "Create Message". This opens the email editor.

  3. Set the subject and compose your email

    • Enter a subject line that catches attention.

    • Use the built-in editor to write your email content.

    • You can load a template by clicking "Load Template" and customize it for your needs.

    • Add your own text, images, or emojis.

  4. After editing, save your email message by clicking "Save" to add this message to your autoresponder sequence.

  5. Use the preview icon to see how your email will look. Edit or duplicate messages as needed.

Step 4: Schedule Your Email Sequence

  1. Set Sending Days

    • Each message can be assigned to a specific day (e.g., Day 0 for immediate sending, Day 1 for the next day, etc.).

    • Click the calendar icon to adjust the day for each message.

    • Remember: only one message per day is sent to each subscriber.

  2. Pause or Reorder Messages

    • Use the Status toggle to pause any message in the sequence.

    • You can skip days if you want (e.g., messages on Day 0, 2, and 5).

Step 5: Connect the Autoresponder to a Mailing List

  1. Go to Mailing Lists in Marketing Tools

  2. Open the mailing list you want to use

  3. Click "Set Autoresponder"

    • A list of your autoresponders will appear.

    • Select the one you want and click "Save".

  4. All new contacts added to this mailing list will now start receiving your autoresponder sequence.

Step 6: Manage and Monitor Your Autoresponder

  • Edit, duplicate, or delete your autoresponder or individual messages at any time.

  • Pause the autoresponder if needed.

  • Check the Subscribers and Sent Emails sections to track performance and delivery.
