Limits, Rules, and Best Practices for Autoresponder Usage

Use Scalelup’s autoresponder effectively, ethically, and within platform guidelines

Updated over a month ago

To get the most value from the autoresponder feature - and to protect your sender reputation - it’s important to understand Scalelup’s limits, rules, and recommended best practices. This article outlines what you need to know to keep your automated email marketing effective, compliant, and user-friendly.

Usage Limits

  • Autoresponder Access: Autoresponders are available only to users with an active paid Ad Plan.

  • Monthly Sending Limits: The number of emails you can send per month depends on your Ad Plan. Check your plan description for details.

  • One Email per Day per Contact: Each lead can receive a maximum of one autoresponder message per day.

Rules and Compliance

  • Content Restrictions:

    • Do not send illegal, offensive, or misleading content.

    • Avoid promoting scams, fraud, or high-yield investment programs (HYIP).

    • No spam or unsolicited commercial messages.

  • Double Opt-In Required: Only contacts who have verified their email address (confirmed via the verification email) will receive autoresponder messages.

  • Unsubscribe Option: Every email sent through the autoresponder includes an unsubscribe link. Subscribers are able to opt out easily at any time.

  • Sender Information: Your mailing list must include your name and address, and (optionally) a signature. This is required for legal compliance (e.g., GDPR, anti-spam regulations).

  • Fair Use: Creating fake accounts, sending to non-existent addresses, or abusing the system can result in permanent suspension from the autoresponder feature.

Best Practices

  • Be Transparent: Let subscribers know what kind of content they can expect and how often you’ll email them.

  • Respect Privacy: Never share, sell, or misuse your contacts' personal information.

  • Personalize Messages: Use your contacts' names and segment your mailing lists for more relevant communication.

  • Provide Value: Focus on helpful, interesting, or exclusive content - not just sales pitches.

  • Mind Your Frequency: Donyt overwhelm your leads with too many emails in a short period.

  • Test Before Launching: Subscribe to your own list to ensure the entire process - form, confirmation, emails - works smoothly.

By following Scalelup's limits, rules, and best practices, you'll ensure that your autoresponder campaigns are effective, welcome, and fully compliant with legal and ethical standards. This protects your business, boosts deliverability, and helps maintain a positive relationship with your audience.
